Finally Here!

I can’t believe it, but we’re finally here!!! It’s launch time for Rescued Heart: Moving from Pain to Purpose!

The last several months I have been in this pause as the book was completed and went to press, and it is a strange feeling. Seeing all that God did in me and in this book without hardly anyone else knowing, much less having read it, left me alone with my thoughts and heart to question. I wondered if it would have any value for others and I found myself spiraling in confusion at times.

Would the words on the page be just that?

Was the book too long?

Was I too exposed?

Were the Bible verses meaningful?

Would anyone feel rescued after reading it?

As I sip my coffee looking out on a cold and frosty Texas landscape, I close my eyes and pray once again for me, for this book, but most importantly, for you.  This is what I know. This book won’t be for everybody, but it will be for somebody.  Last week my book team graciously came together, pre-ordered the book, and began sharing feedback. There is a calm that rests over my heart that God will use it all for His glory.  I’ve done my part, it’s now simply time for God and the Holy Spirit to do His.

From the very beginning of life, we have all been desperate for and in need of a rescue. We live in a fallen world and our todays and tomorrows often come with situations we are not equipped or prepared to walk through. Perhaps it’s a long-term illness or the death of a loved one. Maybe it’s financial difficulties, homelessness, marital challenges, broken relationships, or the burning away of character flaws. Regardless of the burden, with each difficulty, we need a rescue – a way out!
